The upcoming anime is an adaptation of Koyoshi Nakayoshi’s manga, which combines the fantastical Isekai genre with the iconic flair of Super Sentai/Power Rangers.
This anime by Satelight studios promises to deliver a heartfelt tribute to the Power Rangers legacy while carving its own path in the Isekai landscape.
Unlike typical isekai protagonists, Togo Asahaki, known as Kizuna Red, isn’t a powerless everyman. He hails from a superhero team on his homeworld, a premise that flips the genre’s conventions on its head.
While the story focuses on Kizuna Red’s journey through a fantasy world with new allies, his original Kizuna team remains central to his backstory, with their presence expected to resonate throughout the series.
Satelight has gone a step further to connect the series to its roots by casting Super Sentai veterans as the voices of Kizuna Red’s squadmates.
The voice cast is stacked with actors who’ve donned Ranger suits in live-action Super Sentai series:
Masaya Matsukaze as Kizuna Blue, reprising his Ranger roots from Denji Sentai Megaranger (adapted into Power Rangers in Space).
Mika Kikuchi as Kizuna Yellow, bringing experience from her role as the Pink Ranger in Tokusou Sentai Dekaranger (Power Rangers SPD).
Dai Tsuchida as Kizuna Green, previously the Blue Ranger in Ninja Sentai Kakuranger (Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Season 3).
Arisa Komiya as Kizuna Pink, well-loved for her role as the Yellow Ranger in Tokumei Sentai Go-Busters (Power Rangers Beast Morphers).
Meanwhile, Tomoya Ito takes the lead as Kizuna Red, introducing a fresh voice to the team.
