The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills has been pretty intense this year. Kyle Richards is at the center of much of the drama as she’s navigating her new life as a single woman following Mauricio Umansky‘s move. Now, she’s opening up about where she stands with the cast, and namely, Dorit Kemsley.
Dorit and Kyle haven’t been on the best terms this season. Sadly, this is the case despite both RHOBH stars experiencing similar life struggles through which they could help one another. This has also left Erika Jayne in the middle of the two and their current feud.
Recently, Kyle sat down for one of her Amazon Live sessions. This one happened to be a birthday stream where she talked about several topics, including a bit about RHOBH and being frustrated about the show.
Her first mention of the show came when a fan asked if she could reveal anything about the new episode. This live happened before the January 7 episode, which was the first after the holidays.
Kyle said, “I forgot that’s on tonight. It is just so frustrating sometimes because I just can’t explain everything all the time, and not everything gets used, and it’s so annoying.”
“Like, for example, there was a scene where I called Erika and said that I wanted to reach out to Dorit, and I didn’t want her to think I was being manipulative like she said last time because we were supposed to show up at Sutton’s house for that party,” Kyle added.
Kyle explained more about the situation by saying, “And then I said, but, you know, I didn’t care. I was just going to just forget it if she thought that and reach out to her anyway. If she thought I was being manipulative, that’s on her, I had to do what made me feel good.”
She continued, “Well, that scene was not used because you can only use so many moments in an episode. Then I heard her say later, ‘Kyle had to be pushed to reach out to me.’ Nobody pushed me. I literally don’t care if she thinks I’m being manipulative. It’s just so frustrating.”
The live continued, and another fan asked how her relationship is with Dorit today. “We’re definitely better than we were. It took a while to get there through the season, but it’s hard when you see these episodes because it just brings up old stuff and gets you angry again,” Kyle responded.
She then said, “We’re not quite the same, if I’m being honest, but I’m hopeful. I don’t like having problems with anybody.”
Dorit continued to be a topic during the RHOBH parts of the live session. Another fan commented that they didn’t think Dorit was really Kyle’s friend. The RHOBH OG responded, “Well, it doesn’t feel like that at times this season. That’s for sure. I mean, I knew she was going to be coming in hot. I think we all kind of knew that, and I knew I was going to be the target. So, you know, what are you going to do?”
The topic of Kyle texting with Paul “PK” Kemsley also came up. Namely, she mentioned Dorit asking about their conversations and wondering why she didn’t tell her they were still in contact. Kyle explained, “We were not speaking, and I wasn’t talking to PK. I’ve always been friends with PK as well as Dorit, but like our friendship, it consists of memes. Sending each other memes.”
“It was made way bigger than what it is, and everyone had to jump on that, and I was like, ‘Okay, let’s not make this something that it’s not,’ which is just so dumb. I mean, sending somebody memes, I don’t even think about that, and as I’ve said before, PK is like one of the girls, and he says that himself,” Kyle continued.
She then doubled down and said that their relationship doesn’t involve going out for meals or even seeing each other in person very often. She also said that she wouldn’t have cared about a woman sending memes to Mauricio. She then said she would have stopped texting PK if Dorit had asked her to.
Later in the live session, she referenced the drama surrounding her texting PK, saying, “And then it’s like everyone has to chime in, and you feel like you’re being ganged up on. And they’re doing that when they’re not even friends with Dorit or even like her.”
She went on, “So, I really lost it that night, and Dorit was like, ‘I want to see your vein bulging out of your head’ or something like that. I remember the last time that happened was when I said you’re such a f-ing liar to Camille because I was losing my marbles because it was another annoying, frustrating situation that wasn’t true, and I just cannot take that. That makes me crazy.”
Toward the end of the session, a fan commented that they were tired of all the drama with Dorit. Kyle said, “I’m over the drama of that whole situation. I’m like, ‘We just made up. Why would you do this again?’ Like, really, just wait for me to get here and do this again. I can’t.”
