Lindsay Hubbard looked back on her split from Turner Kufe and shared an update on co-parenting their one-year-old daughter, Gemma, on Lala Kent‘s podcast on Wednesday.
As she admitted that she was still in “traumatized mode” due to her breakups from both Turner and former fiancé Carl Radke, 41, she addressed a potential reconciliation with Carl, and seemingly shaded Amanda Batula, 34, as insecure, the 39-year-old Summer House star admitted to postpartum struggles.
“Last year was such a big year. It was my first year becoming a mom. You’re finding your footing,” she explained on the May 13 episode of Untraditionally Lala, via Vanderpod Recaps on Instagram. “I went through a breakup a month and a half after I gave birth. I’m in a postpartum era.”
According to Lindsay, at the time of her split, she was trying to breastfeed and pump and figure out that schedule, going through a huge move from Gramercy to downtown, and also filming not one, but two shows: Summer House and Summer House: In The City.
“It was just a lot all at once. And I can handle it, but it was overwhelming at times,” she shared.
Luckily, now that she’s adjusted to life with her little girl, she and Turner are in a “great place.”
“It took a while … [But] we’ve found our footing as like, new parents and a new dynamic of co-parenting, mediation, the whole bit, the lawyers, this or that. Like, we’re in a good place,” she stated.
Although Lindsay is still in “traumatized mode” due to the way in which her relationships ended, with Turner breaking things off amid her postpartum journey and Carl calling off their wedding just months before their big day, she’s faced rumors about getting back together with her co-star.
“No!” Lindsay said of the possibility. “I think that we could get back to a place of friendship, but that’s probably where it ends. I think we’re in like a really friendly place. And I like that. I like where we’re at.”
Looking ahead to her new show with Kyle Cooke, 43, and Amanda, Lindsay acknowledged that Amanda’s romance with West Wilson, 31, has certainly caused confusion behind the scenes when it comes to the future of the franchise.
“Unfortunately for West, he’s only been around for three years,” she explained. “[And] one of those seasons, the only thing he had to talk about was the fact that he couldn’t wash his recycling out before he recycled.”
As West continued to face “new [storylines]” from day to day following the revelation about his and Amanda’s relationship, which began behind the back of his former flame and her ex-best friend, Ciara Miller, 30, Lindsay addressed his recently leaked d*ck pics, suspecting they were sent to “somebody on Instagram.”
She then suggested that Amanda was attracted to West due to her insecurities.
“I totally understand the total picture of attraction. He’s charismatic. He’s charming. If you are a girl who has any slight insecurity in your life, he sees you, he makes you feel seen. He validates you,” she shared. “He pretends to be like, all about female rights. He’s into sports. He has a lot of friends. If you take him as the full package, I can see why women are attracted to him.”
