A Georgia man’s family is seeking justice after his body was discovered in the back of a locked trailer at a Sealy Mattress facility in Conyers about a week after he wandered onto the property during a mental health crisis.

In October, 27-year-old Joshua Armour disappeared, and his family frantically searched for him after his phone pinged his location at the facility. After his loved ones notified a supervisor about his possible whereabouts, employees were reportedly instructed to lock all trailers on-site due to concerns about someone being on the premises, the Associated Press reported. According to the family’s wrongful death lawsuit, they were told to leave the property and barred from searching for Armour.
The locked trailers could not be opened from the inside, and the family alleges that Sealy took no action to find or assist Armour, prioritizing the protection of their property over human life. In a statement, Tempur Sealy International expressed its condolences and said it was conducting a thorough investigation with cooperating local authorities. However, the family’s attorney accused the company of failing to provide video evidence from the night Armour disappeared.

Armour is remembered as a father of two who was described as “selfless, always smiling, and a life of the party” by his fiance, Jasmine Jennings. She added that he worked as a plumber on large construction projects and planned to become a civil engineer or pursue a career in economic development. In the lawsuit, the family also requested a jury trial.
