Kylie Jenner Finally Tributes ‘More Than My Friend’ Hairstylist

Kylie Jennerhas officially broken her silence about her late hairstylist, Jesus Guerrero, by honoring his memory with a touching tribute.

The Kylie Cosmetics founder has been media silent about her pal’s death despite sources sharing that she had been moving behind the scenes to comfort his family. Additionally, insiders claimed she offered to cover Guerrero’s funeral expenses.

Given the years-long bond between Kylie Jenner and Jesus Guerrero, her delayed social media tribute is understandable. Nonetheless, she poured her heart out on Tuesday, February 25, dropping a carousel of sweet moments and an equally sentimental message on Instagram.

Kylie’s moving tribute featured twenty slides capturing her time with Guerrero. The slideshow began with a picture of the media personality seated in a white robe while the late hair expert leaned over her for the picture.

The snap appeared to have been taken from a set, with more shots capturing Guerrero helping Kylie get her glam on behind the scenes. There were more pictures of them spending quality time together, from selfies at the beach to sleepovers and shots of them at restaurants.

The carousel also featured videos, including a heartwarming clip of a then-pregnant Kylie celebrating Guerrero’s birthday. The post ended with a cute video of the late media personality being silly at an event while a young child could be heard behind the camera asking him to do his little dance again.

Kylie’s pain and grief flowed through her words as she tried to capture how much Guerrero meant to her. “Jesus was more than my friend – he was a light in my life, a source of laughter, comfort, love, and unwavering support,” she began, adding:

“I don’t know how I would have made it through the last almost decade without him by my side. He had a way of making even the heaviest days feel lighter. Thank you, Jesus, for always being there for me, for lifting me up, for being my friend.”

“The pain of losing you is just unbearable, and I don’t know how to move forward without you, but I know great grief is born only of great love. And I loved you so much. You were the best person, with a talent that was unmatched. A true artist. You inspired so many, and you always will,” Kylie penned.

Kylie continued her emotional message by vowing to treasure Guerrero’s words, laughter, and kindness. She declared his “beautiful spirit” would live in her heart and promised to cherish every moment they spent together, including their hugs.

“I wish I could hug you again. I laid in your bed the way you used to lay in mine, talking for hours. I would give anything for one more deep talk. I’m going to miss you so much. More than any words can say. 222 my angel,” she concluded.

The entertainer’s tribute received over 600k likes in less than an hour, and despite limiting the number of comments, she still received thousands of condolences from fans. Many resonated with her pain, while others applauded the KarJenner clan’s response to Guerrero’s passing, with someone noting:

“It’s truly beautiful how you and your family embrace and lift the teams that support you. I’ve always found that phenomenal and full of heart. I’m so sorry for this massive loss.”

A day before her social media tribute, The Blast reported that Kylie had been working behind the scenes to honor Guerrero’s memory. Sources with direct knowledge about her efforts claimed she stepped up to help his family cover his funeral and other expenses.

The bills reportedly included the transportation of Guerrero’s body back to his hometown of Houston. Besides financial assistance, sources noted Kylie had emotionally supported her late pal’s family. They claimed she spent much of Sunday comforting them and offering to help however she could.

Kylie’s older sisters, Khloé and Kim Kardashian, took a page from her book and honored Guerrero as a family member. The older of the pair, Kim, shared a group picture of the KarJenner clan with various members of their glam team, including the late hairstylist, alongside a poignant message.

In her February 24 post, Kim noted that her family spent quality time with their “glam fam” outside work. She claimed they vacationed and celebrated their lives together, describing them as “some of the kindest souls” and “bestest friends.”

“So when one of our glam family members passes away, all of our souls are crushed. My heart breaks for Kylie and everyone who loved Jesus the way we all did,” Kim continued.

She concluded her tribute with her support for Kylie and Guerrero’s loved ones. Khloé echoed similar sentiments, reposting her sister’s tribute alongside the words:

“I couldn’t find the words this weekend, but this is exactly how we all feel. We become a family with our glam teams, and we share so much of our lives with them. We are also intertwined and in love with one another. This is such an incredible deep loss.”
