Star Wars: Ahsoka Season 2’s release date window has narrowed, with Rosario Dawson teasing the upcoming second season’s reveal coming soon.
When is Ahsoka Season 2’s release date window?
During a recent presentation at Disney’s annual upfront talk (via THR), the Ahsoka star revealed that Season 2 of the show will premiere sometime in early 2027. Along with the news, Dawson also showed off a behind-the-scenes reel. Assuming Dawson’s news holds true, it will be about four years in between seasons of the show by the time Ahsoka Season 2 premieres.
The first season debuted in August 2023, and a second season was planned almost immediately after, but Disney and Lucasfilm have significantly slowed production on several Star Wars shows, resulting in the longer wait.
As of now, it’s unknown what Season 2 of the show will be about, but Hayden Christensen is set to reprise his role as Anakin Skywalker in the series. Rory McCann (Game of Thrones) is also set to take over the role of Baylan Skoll, a role previously played by the late Ray Stevenson, who passed away shortly after filming his parts.
It’s unclear who else will be returning for the series, but Season 1 did feature a star-studded cast that included Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Natasha Liu Bordizzo, Ivanna Sakhno, Diana Lee Inosanto, Eman Esfandi, Evan Whitten, Genevieve O’Reilly and Lars Mikkelsen.
Ahsoka was written and executive produced by Dave Filoni, best known for his work on fan-favorite Star Wars animated shows The Clone Wars and Rebels. Set within the same timeline as The Mandalorian, Season 1 revolved around the titular Jedi’s quest across the galaxy as she investigates an emerging threat following the fall of the Empire.
