Former Real Housewives of New Jersey star Dina Cantin formerly Dina Manzo and husband David Cantin quietly took legal steps toward ending their marriage before ultimately dismissing their cases nearly one year later.
According to court documents obtained by Us Weekly, Dina, 54, filed for legal separation in California in March 2025 after nearly eight years of marriage.
In the filing, Dina claimed the pair married in June 2017 and separated the very same day she filed on March 4, 2025.
But things became even messier just days later.
Cantin reportedly filed his own divorce petition in Florida on March 10, 2025, where he claimed they married on June 28, 2018, in Malibu, California, and said the marriage was “irretrievably broken.”
He also alleged Dina had been “permanently residing in Florida since 2021” and claimed they last lived together as husband and wife in the Sunshine State.
The financial side of the split quickly turned serious.
According to the filing, Cantin asked the court for an unequal distribution of marital assets in his favor due to what he described as his “extraordinary contributions to the acquisition, enhancement and production of income or the improvement of both the marital assets and the non marital assets.”
He also requested attorneys’ fees “to the extent the wife engages in unnecessary… or vexatious litigation.”
Meanwhile, Dina cited “irreconcilable differences” in her own California filing and requested spousal support and attorneys’ fees while also asking the court not to award Cantin spousal support.
Then came the twist nobody saw coming.
In April 2025, both Dina and Cantin reportedly decided to pause their legal battles “in an effort to resolve all issues in a dignified, private and cooperative manner” while attempting “to reach a mutually agreed upon resolution of all issues” outside the courtroom.
And now, it appears the former couple may have fully reconciled.
According to Us Weekly, both Dina and Cantin officially requested their divorce and separation petitions be dismissed on March 27, just over a month ago.
One day later, Dina appeared to confirm all was well between them when she posted romantic vacation photos with Cantin on Instagram.
“D&D 2.0 ❤️ {paradise edition},” she captioned the tropical getaway snaps.
Earlier this year, Dina also gushed over “my husband” after he threw her a lavish Studio 54 themed birthday celebration.
“He set the birthday bar dangerously high this year,” she wrote on March 7.
Fans first met Dina during the launch of The Real Housewives of New Jersey in 2009 alongside Teresa Giudice, Caroline Manzo, Jacqueline Laurita and Danielle Staub.
After leaving the Bravo series multiple times, Dina ultimately stepped away for good to live a more private life in California.
Cantin largely stayed out of the spotlight but made headlines during Dina’s legal battle involving ex husband Thomas Manzo.
Thomas was later convicted of hiring a “reputed mobster” to assault Cantin back in 2015.
Following the guilty verdict in June 2024, Dina posted a symbolic photo of herself raising her hands toward the sky while sunlight poured over a monument.
Now, after a secret split, dueling divorce filings and a shocking reunion, fans are left wondering whether Dina and David’s love story is truly back on track or simply entering another dramatic chapter.
