Following their stunning debut, “All I Need” earlier this year, Kito and Chrome Sparks have unveiled their debut EP under their IS U IS U EP alias, Melter.
IS U IS U marks Kito and Chrome Sparks’ latest artistic venture, a DJ super-duo that draws from each artist’s unique background to deliver melodic dancefloor anthems. Out now via Mad Decent, Melter finds IS U IS U expertly merging their respective sounds for an intoxicating record that’s as irresistible as it is eclectic.
Chrome Sparks’ masterful melodies and impressive synth work are present all throughout the short-but-sweet EP, while Kito’s tasteful production and pop-driven approach perfectly add to the EP’s commercial allure.
“All I Need” kicks off the journey, driven by an infectious vocal sample that calls back to the duo’s name, while organic dance instrumentation and a warm ambiance immerse us into IS U IS U’s vibrant world. Taking inspiration from classic house music with its punchy piano chords and groovy basslines, “Lights On” makes for yet another highlight while “Angel Girl” continues showcasing their knack for infectious vocal chops and emotive melodies. Elsewhere, EP’s titular track completes the journey by channeling euphoric rave energy, sealing a project that’s bound to help cement the duo as a dance music powerhouse.
