Eric Rosenbrook and Leida Margaretha’s love story is anything but simple.
Ever since they made their TV debut on season 6 of 90 Day Fiancé in 2018, Eric and Leida have allowed fans a front-row seat into their relationship.
It all began when Eric met his future wife on an international dating site. Despite Leida being more than 10 years his junior, Eric fell in love and allowed TLC cameras to roll as they figured out their lives together in the United States.
During their season, the couple often disagreed on a variety of issues. At one point, Leida was unhappy that Eric spent so much time and money on his role as a father to his three kids from a previous relationship.
As for Eric, he questioned his partner’s expensive taste and demands to live a certain kind of luxury.

Leida and Eric Get Married
Despite any disagreements documented on season 6 of 90 Day Fiancé, Leida and Eric officially got married on July 8, 2018, according to court documents.
According to reports, however, the pair also got married in Jakarta, Indonesia, in November 2017. A photo obtained by Starcasm showed the groom in a classic black suit while the bride held white roses as she wore a white dress. The photo has since been deleted.
Leida Files for Legal Separation From Eric

On July 28, 2025, Leida filed a petition for a legal separation from Eric after seven years of marriage.
In her filing, Leida claimed there have been “too many domestic abuse events.” She also pointed to the court’s decision to grant her a temporary restraining order against Eric earlier in the month.
When Us asked Eric for comment on Leida’s claims, he denied being physically, emotionally and mentally abusive.
The reality star added, “I was nothing but supportive of her [of] anything she wanted to do and experience here.”

Leida and Eric’s Previous Signs of Marriage Troubles
When Leida took legal steps to separate from Eric, the former TLC star claimed that she filed for divorce in 2024 but dismissed it before it was finalized.
One stressor in the couple’s marriage appeared to be their struggle to start a family of their own.
After news broke that the couple’s newborn daughter passed away in July 2025, Leida’s attorney Taylor Hart released a statement claiming both Eric and Leida “tried desperately for a child.”
“They tried, and hoped, and prayed, but they unfortunately suffered many setbacks including multiple miscarriages,” Hart told Us. “The loss of Alisa is a tragedy.”
