General Hospital star Finn Carr has opened up on Rocco‘s confession about shooting Callum in a new interview, and the possible danger that now follows the young character. From the guilt of the shooting to the consequences, Carr revealed a great deal about Rocco and his possible future.
Finn Carr on what’ll happen to Rocco after Cullum’s shooting in General Hospital
Finn Carr, the actor behind Rocco on General Hospital, spoke to Soap Opera Digest about how Rocco struggled to hold it together after shooting dirty WSB Agent Cullum and letting Jason take the blame.
Under pressure, Rocco blurted out the truth to Britt. “In the scenes where Rocco sees Cullum for the first time — he’s doing his community service at the hospital and brings him a pillow and doesn’t know that it’s him until he gets to the room. I decided to play him a little bit stronger, like this is something Rocco has had time to process. It’s not as raw to Rocco, and he’s a little more calculated in how he reacts to him,” Carr explained.
“He has a bit more control, showing that maybe he’s changed from the experience,” the actor continued. “It was definitely fun to show that stronger side of Rocco, especially because he’s been so emotional with his mom and dad.”
He explained why he thought Carr could be strong with Britt. “I think he is able to be strong with Britt because he’s not direct family with her; she’s not his mom.” But during the conversation, Rocco blurted out the secret about shooting Callum. “I think you can still see some vulnerability and the trauma behind [his confession],” Carr added.
He then went on to detail how Britt went from shocked to alarmed as Rocco relayed the events to her. Britt convinces him not to breathe a word of this to anyone, citing the danger to Rocco’s life if Cullum found out.
“Is Rocco aware of what a threat Cullum is, that Cullum would maybe kill him if he found out? I think he is. But I think he’s not too worried — at least at first,” Rocco said. “Later, it definitely becomes a big concern for him that he might get hurt by Cullum.”
The upcoming episodes of General Hospital will be crucial in determining Rocco’s fate.
