If you’re excited about Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire, I’ve got some more marketing stuff for the film to share with you today! We’ve got a new promo spot and four new posters featuring the members of the Ghostbusting team along with some Mini-Pufts frozen in Ice Cubes and the Ice Dragon. I’ve also got a few vignettes for you to check out featuring the cast and crew talking about the film and other ghost stuff.
In the story, New York City finds itself freezing over due to an ancient artifact that unleashes an evil force! Also, the original Ghostbusters return! Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, and Ernie Hudson are all back for the new adventure! The synopsis reads:
In Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire, the Spengler family returns to where it all started – the iconic New York City firehouse – to team up with the original Ghostbusters, who’ve developed a top-secret research lab to take busting ghosts to the next level. But when the discovery of an ancient artifact unleashes an evil force, Ghostbusters new and old must join forces to protect their home and save the world from a second Ice Age.
Ghostbusters: Afterlife director and co-writer Jason Reitman serves as writer and executive producer on the new film. The movie also stars Patton Oswalt, Kumail Nanjiani, comedian James Acaster, and Emily Alyn Lind have joined the cast! They join returning cast members Paul Rudd, Carrie Coon, Finn Wolfhard, and Mckenna Grace. Bill Murray, Dan Ackroyd, and Ernie Hudson are also back in action with Annie Potts as Janine Melnitz suiting up for some ghost-busting action.
It was recently revealed by the director that the original characters will be “actual characters” this time that feel “more fully fleshed out.”
The film is scheduled to be released on March 29th, 2024.
